Are you ready to feel like yourself again and enjoy life with your baby and loved ones?
This sucks doesn't it?
Not enjoying life when you're pregnant or after having your baby can be pretty heart-breaking and devastating. You're hoping that there is a small chance someone could possibly help you through this pain, even though it is hard to believe that you can feel better. This probably isn't the only therapist website or Psychology Today profile you've looked at. I know this process is not fun, and can even be pretty scary. I've been there! As hard as it is to believe when you're in that dark place,
therapy can help you enjoy life and feel like yourself again.
My name is Thai-An. I am a mother and counselor who is passionate about helping pregnant and postpartum parents overcome depression and anxiety so they can feel like themselves again and start enjoying life with their baby, their family, and each other.
I unexpectedly went through my own dark postpartum journey, and I know first hand how hard it can be. I am so grateful to be able to say that I have fully recovered and have been inspired to open up my own counseling practice, Lasting Change Therapy LLC, in South OKC. I've dedicated myself to learning and practicing effective treatment approaches to help you overcome depression and anxiety, feel better, and enjoy life again.
Counseling for Prenatal & Postpartum Depression/Anxiety
This service is very close to my heart. A new baby completely shakes up our whole world. It is hard enough without the prenatal or postpartum depression and anxiety. You're told that life with your new baby is going to be the best thing that will happen to you. You didn't expect to feel depressed, hopeless, and worried instead of happy and excited. You didn't expect to feel like you've completely lost yourself. Therapy can help you feel like yourself again so you can begin to love life with your baby.
EMDR for Traumatic Loss and Other Painful Experiences
You're heart-broken from an unbearable loss or you're haunted by thoughts and memories of terrible experiences from your past. Pregnancy and the postpartum phase sometimes makes us more vulnerable to past trauma and grief. You can't seem to get rid of these awful thoughts and feelings and move on with life. Therapy can help you work through these painful emotions and experiences so you can fully be present with your baby and loved ones.
As I mentioned, a new baby can completely shake up our world, including our marriage. Couples counseling can help you reconnect and improve your relationship through pregnancy and the challenging postpartum transition.
Life with kids is exactly as expected, said no parent ever.
This is how we're told motherhood will be like.
This is how motherhood is actually like, completely unpredictable...
